Frequently Asked Questions about Evictions in Las Vegas, Henderson & North Las Vegas

At Vegas Evictions, we’re committed to providing clear and reliable information to help you navigate the eviction process in Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas. Below are some frequently asked questions that we receive from our clients.

1. When will my notice be served?

We strive to serve notices the day after receiving payment. However, during high-volume periods (typically from the 5th to the 15th of the month), it may take up to 48 hours to serve your notice. We serve notices Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, during our business hours of 9 am – 5 pm.

2. Can I get a refund if I cancel?

Once we receive your request for service and payment, we begin processing your notice and/or filings immediately. Unfortunately, after processing begins, we do not offer refunds.

3. Is same-day service available?

Yes, we do our best to accommodate same-day service requests. The fee for same-day service is $100. To request same-day service, please contact us before 12:00 pm. We will confirm availability before you make your payment.

4. Can I specify where to post my notice?

Our licensed process servers will post your notice according to Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS). If you provide a photo of the gate or specific location, we will do our best to comply with your request while adhering to legal requirements.

5. Will I receive a copy of my notice?

Absolutely! We will email you a copy of your notice once it is returned by our servers. This may happen the same day or within one to two days, depending on the situation.

6. Can I serve my own notice?

As of July 1, 2019, due to changes in Nevada’s residential tenant laws (S.B. 151), landlords can no longer serve Notices to Pay or Quit. Only a sheriff, licensed process server, or an attorney’s agent licensed to practice law in Nevada can serve these notices. Proof of service by one of these authorized parties is required for an eviction to be granted.
